Tip for today: Sin is like an Octopus. Damage can be done with the head but the things that are attached (tentacles or arms) to it are what keep us close..
The eight tentacles of sin:
1. Deception- what I have done is not as bad as what others have done
2. Guilt- is what the sinner feels inwardly about themselves; I ain’t no good
3. Shame- is what the sinner feels outwardly as it relates to others; the perception of others about me
4. Stain- is what is left behind as a memory for others and the sinner to constantly draw back to
5. Brokenness – I may as well keep on doing it. I’m stuck
6. Blame – I was made to do what I done; something or someone other than me triggered it; as if there is no “I” in it. But the reality is I am right in the middle of it. (s I n)
7. Hopelessness – there is no alternative, it is now second nature

Tool for Today: Be Careful of your actions over Criticizing. We are two days removed from the greatest recognized Holiday on earth; Resurrection Sunday. This year I was careful in my criticizing of those who only come on Resurrection Sunday. In a lot of Churches, Resurrection Sunday is the only time that Jesus and the cross are the center and circumference of the worship experience. With that said; should the un-churched waste their time coming to watch Christians fight over the spotlight? I see it all over the country and there are times when I have to check myself. Was that about Christ and the cross or me? Jesus said, “I if I be lifted up from the earth I’ll draw all men unto me…”
Do what you do in church for Jesus as though you comprehend we are always before Jesus…with nail scared hands and feet…

Testimony for the Day: I spoke with a friend and in conversation I said to her in inspiration mode, “I Love Who You Are”. We had been having conversation about an issue she was having with people from her past. She went on about how she gets tired of being the bigger person. (we all do but I couldn’t allow her to hear that at that time) How she had been treated in the past. I thought to myself, if that’s what it took to get you to this point, then……. My mind went into ministry mode and here is the revelation: We are who we are now because of what we went through then. We don’t like the things that are seemingly bad for our present, but great for our future. I’m learning to Love What God Allows……..
Romans 8:28
And we Know that all things work together for our GOOD…..

 Tip For Today:
Wherever there is light there will be bugs..
Over the last past week or so I have been a little disturbed at the fact that there are so many bugs that have made their way to the entrance i use to our administration bldg. Today I’m reminded that it may be a compliment to our Church, Greater True Light. We live in a dark world and it is my prayer that there will be bodies doing what the Bugs have done; come to the LIGHT. This little light of mine, I got to let it shine..
Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before me that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven
