Testimony of the Day: This morning Darius Johnson was handed keys to another car and told to get only the things he need out of the old one. Before he grabbed insurance card, jack, tools, or work identification, he transferred two bibles. Before I shouted, I asked “do you need both bibles”? He said yes, one always has to be in the car I drive………….
Psalm 124 :1
If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;

Tip For Today: Don’t be afraid to be the only one in your family who pleases GOD. Many people have a built-in defective mechanism in their lives; the desire to always fit in. I know very well that God chooses our family’s for us. However, just because they are older doesn’t mean that they are ALWAYS right. BE FOR GOD REGARDLESS OF THE OPPOSITION……….
I Kings 14:13
He is the only one in Jeroboam’s family who will get a decent burial; he’s the only one for whom God, the God of Israel, has a good word to say.

Tool for Today: Prophets Lie Too
For some of you this is a reminder, but for others it is REVELATION. So you ask then Pastor Berry, How do we make it (When faith comes by hearing the WORD of GOD and we can’t hear without a preacher; Romans 10:17), Who can we trust to tell us the truth, How do I know when one is lying???? You are asking great questions today. First you must study for yourself that you may KNOW for yourself. Never doubt what you know GOD said. GOD lives in us by way of the HOLY SPIRIT. The Bible tells us to try the spirit by the SPIRIT. All spirits are not HOLY.
I Kings 13:15-18
15Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.16And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:17For it was said to me by the word of the Lord, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest. 18He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.

Tip for today: Sin is like an Octopus. Damage can be done with the head but the things that are attached (tentacles or arms) to it are what keep us close..
the eight tenticles of sin:
1. deception- what I have done is not as bad as what others have done
2. guilt- is what the sinner feels inwardly about themselves; I ain’t no good
3. shame- is what the sinner feels outwardly as it relates to others; the perception of others about me
4. stain- is what is left behind as a memory for others and the sinner to constantly draw back to
5. brokeness – I may as well keep on doing it. I’m stuck
6. blame – I was made to do what I done; something or someone other than me triggered it; as if there is no “I” in it. but the reality is I am right in the middle of it
7. hopelessness – there is no alternative, it is now second nature
8. denial -I haven’t done anything wrong, what I have done is not that bad; it was a white lie
